The Catalyst Recruiting Group www.catgroupinc.com is assisting a growing industrial distribution client to identify a seasoned National Account Manger. This role will be responsible for managing existing, previously penetrated accounts after they have been developed at the corporate level. This is NOT a business development or sales role. Although this position will involve significant travel to a customers corporate headquarters nationally, it will be based in Dallas and is not offering relocation. This position within their organization will be focused on managing existing and taking over newly created business with the corporate entities of large businesses with a national presence. They are looking for someone that manages and further develops large corporate accounts with multi-million dollar contracts. Although a “manager” in title, this is an individual contributor role that will require substantial travel (50-60%) to accounts nationally. This role will mentor and further develop the sales and support functions of national accounts.

Absolutely Required: Bachelors Bachelors Degree. Quantifiable experience managing accounts at the corporate head quarters of large companies and developing solutions for the client. “C-level” communication/relationships. Contract negotiation and renewal. Value added, consultative, relationship building skills at the higher management levels.

Highly Desired: Large distribution…although not a deal breaker if the manufacturing/retail etc organizations have account manager roles that are structured similarly.
