The Catalyst Group www.catgroupinc.com is working with a fast growing medical device client to identify and evaluate a Software Group Manager. The Software R&D Manager will have direct supervision responsibilities for 4-6 software R&D engineers as well as project leadership responsibilities for complex, integrated HW/SW devices. Technical leadership will center on embedded software utilizing Object Oriented design methodology throughout the full life-cycle of the product development process.

ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED: - Engineering degree (highly preferred: BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering), 8+ years embedded software development experience (medical device highly preferred but not required) as well as 2+ years of direct management or 6+ years of team lead experience. C, C++, strong understanding of hardware/software integration with systems engineering approach; go-getter, decision-making personality who is ALSO comfortable with a highly collaborative environment.
