Manager R&D-Tissue

Our client is a growing medical device manufacturer in the Greater Boulder area who is expanding and stratifying their R&D group. They are looking for a Tissue Research Manager to direct 2-4 R&D Engineers in bench work to support the development of electrosurgical devices and RF treatment systems. This R&D Group Leader will give technical guidance in designing, conducting and analyzing statistically-based experiments in tissue and energy interaction for protocol design testing. This individual will also need to provide mentorship in project-based cross-functional product development.

Required: Bachelors Degree (preferably Engineering). Statistical DOE Research experience with LabVIEW or MatLab and strong command of statistical methodology to plan, conduct, and evaluate experiments; 4+ years in a biological / medical setting with a focus on tissue / energy interaction (electrical, RF, ultrasound, etc.) 2+ years of direct supervisory responsibilities with scientists/engineers, etc. including career guidance, 2+ years of participation in cross-functional product development projects. Desire to be a leader a tightly-knit team and management aspirations but also happy to get his/her “hands dirty.”

Highly Desired: Graduate degree in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering (or related field); ambition and pursuit of professional development; corporate R&D experience, specialization in experimentation to support research, product and/or technology development. PMP certification.
