The Catalyst Group www.catgroupinc.com is working with a fast growing medical device client to identify and evaluate a Director of Software Engineering. The Director of Software Engineering will manage a group of software and R&D (HDL) engineers while recommending operational policies. This role will include budgetary responsibilities while establishing departmental goals. This position will be strategic in directing the managers into specific projects areas while technically leading the engineering groups.

ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED: MS OR PHD with advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Extensive engineering leadership and project management of embedded software/HDL for medical devices. Object Oriented methodologies, HDL simulation environments, and software and HDL standards is required.
