We are targeting an R&D / Project Engineer for a growing medical device company located outside of Atlanta, GA to fill a newly created position. Our client is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive innovation from concept development through launch, generating and/or evaluating new patentable products, interfacing with KOL’s and other interdisciplinary contacts, leading creative direction and serving as a technical resource for prototype builds utilizing multiple processes and materials.

REQUIRED: Absolutely Required: 4-year Technical Degree. 5+ years of class II / class III Medical Device R&D Engineering experience. Previous Project Management experience from birth to market. Documented, hands-on Engineering strengths, particularly with rapid prototyping techniques for a variety of manufacturing processes. Comfort and experience in a front-end product development leadership role including interactions with surgeons / physicians. Supervisory experience through direct, team or project leadership.

Preferred Qualifications: MBA; R&D background with a variety of medical device product lines including surgical implantables and hand-held mechanical devices; proficiency with SolidWorks or other 3-D CAD programs. Upbeat, energetic personality with commitment to professional development.
