Atlanta, GA-The Catalyst Group www.catgroupinc.com is targeting a HIGH ENERGY Program Manager for a large $60M+ product platform within a growing global division of a $2.45B medical device corporation located outside of Atlanta, GA to fill a newly created position. This manager will lead diverse and innovative R&D programs from concept through the commercial phase with an emphasis placed on the candidate’s ability to serve as the technical expert and provide support for all development activities including front-end (KOL / BD) functions. Despite being a hands-on management role with direct reports (2+) and indirect reports (5-10), this is also a very hands-on Engineering role, so recent experience should include design.

REQUIRED: BS Engineering (Mechanical preferred); 8+ years of R&D Engineering experience with 3-5 years of leadership experience including a minimum of 3 in major FDA-regulated programs with definitive market success through commercialization. Ability to learn quickly and manage unknowns. Extremely solid FRONT-END R&D Engineering skills and knowledge of FDA Design Control. Business Development participation and entrepreneurial mindset. Technical background must include working with plastics (injection molded, extrusion) as well as nitinol and stainless materials with and without coatings; Solidworks, Microsoft Project.

Preferred Qualifications: MBA, Medical Device experience that includes a variety of product lines including urological health devices for drainage and kidney stone removal, etc.
