R&D Manager-Medical Device
Our client is a growing medical device manufacturer in the Greater Boulder area who is looking for an R&D Manager to drive the product development process, with a focus on technical hardware development for complex medical device systems. This position will take ownership of communicating the VOC to the Program Manager and ensuring connection between the final technical specifications and the customer needs from design through manufacturing. An emphasis will be placed on the candidate’s ability to manage 5-6 direct EE reports in addition to cross-functional project teams of 15-20.
REQUIRED: There are a few requirements, of course: BSEE, 8+ years of Technical R&D Management/Project-Program Management experience including direct supervisory responsibilities throughout the entire product development process. Specific product experience should include complex electrical and/or RF device systems. Strong cross-functional interaction with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Purchasing, etc. on protocols, change documents, procedures, verification and validation. Successful experience in obtaining and communicating VOC to team and ensuring technical correlation between that voice and the product specifications. Enthusiastic personality, extremely attentive to detail, flexible and comfortable working with others in a creatively passionate environment.
Highly Desired: Would be a MSEE, MEDICAL DEVICE background; ambition and pursuit of professional development; strong technical documentation skills; background in preparation and execution of project schedules/budgets; strong written and oral communication skills (documentation, reports, presentations, etc.).
