Boulder, CO-The Catalyst Recruiting Group www.catgroupinc.com is working with growing medical device manufacturer in the Greater Boulder area who is growing their R&D group. They are looking for an Engineer / Scientist for a hands-on pre-clinical / clinical laboratory role. This individual will be conducting bench work (NOT DEVICE DESIGN) to support the development of electrosurgical devices and RF treatment systems. A large emphasis is placed on the Engineer’s experience with tissue and energy interaction, and the thrust of the position will focus on the design and execution of statistically-based protocol testing.

Required: Bachelors Degree (NO EXCEPTIONS) and 4-6 years; Masters Degree and 2-3 years; PhD and 1 year of experience (this experience should be outside of the standard academic research done in pursuit of a degree although internships can be included in the total) in biological / medical setting with a focus on tissue and energy interaction (NOTE: DIRECT TISSUE / ENERGY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED). Energetic, independent worker who can also be a member of a tightly-knit team and who isn’t afraid to get his/her “hands dirty.” Use of LabVIEW or MatLab and comfort with using statistical methodology in planning, conducting, and evaluating experiments with strong record keeping skills.

Highly Desired: Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering (or related field); ambition and pursuit of professional development.
