Our client is a growing multi-national manufacturing company that has enlisted our services to identify a Senior Buyer. This position will be responsible for the complete purchasing life cycle: RFP / RFQ, contract negotiations, supplier performance analysis, etc. with a focus on the highest standards of quality and on-time delivery. Beyond the typical procurement “tasks”, this role will take ownership in a commodity function with a portfolio of printed circuit board assemblies and sub-assemblies. This will involve a solid understanding of complex BOM’s and contract manufacturing.

ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED Bachelor’s Degree. 5+ years experience with purchasing PCBA in a high tech manufacturing environment.

HIGHLY DESIRED: CPM or CPIM certification.  Flexibility and adaptability to change.  Team player mentality with strong mentoring skills including patience with helping junior associates.  Track record of successful negotiation and ability to guide and manage suppliers to complex contract terms.
