Our client is a growing medical device manufacturer in the Greater Boulder area who is growing their R&D group. They are looking for a Senior Engineer / Scientist for a hands-on role. This individual will be conducting bench work to support the development of electrosurgical devices and RF treatment systems. A large emphasis is placed on the Engineer’s ability to be the subject matter expert for tissue and energy interaction, and the thrust of the position will focus on the design and execution of statistically-based protocol testing.

Required: Bachelors Degree (NO EXCEPTIONS). Candidate must have 4-8+ years of research / engineering experience including 3+ years in a biological / medical setting with a focus on tissue and energy (NOTE: MEDICAL EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED). Energetic, independent worker who can also be a member of a tightly-knit team and who isn’t afraid to get his/her “hands dirty.”

Highly Desired: Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering (or related field); ambition and pursuit of professional development; LabVIEW or MatLab; statistical methodology in planning, conducting, and evaluating experiments with strong record keeping skills. Some supervisory and/or project management / leadership experience.
