Sr. Electrical Engineer-Battery Specialist
Our client is a growing medical device manufacturer in the Greater Boulder area who is expanding their R&D groups and looking for a Principal Engineer to join one of their dynamic and collaborative product development groups. This position will report to the R&D Manager and focus on product and technology development including concept generation, protocol design, feasibility testing and verification of mono- and bipolar medical device power sources. This position’s primary responsibility will be to provide technical design leadership and strategic direction throughout the entire product development cycle.
REQUIRED
BSEE (or related field if meet ALL other qualifications), 8+ years of R&D Engineering experience through the entire product development cycle including a clear, dominate focus on POWER SUPPLY AND BATTERY INTERFACE with analog electronics in a HIGHLY-REGULATED industry. EXPERT-LEVEL understanding of battery cell technology and chemistry. Collaborative, high-energy, positive attitude and ability to lead a team with the highest standards of technical expertise without being a “prima donna.”
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field); ambition and pursuit of professional development; strong record keeping skills; previous experience with cardiac implantables or similar devices and vendor/supplier development; previous experience negotiating with battery vendors; MEDICAL DEVICE background.
