Our client is a growing medical device manufacturer in the Greater Boulder area who is looking for a Principal R&D Systems Engineer. The focus of this role is on requirements development leadership for complex mechanical and electrical medical device system design including hardware and firmware components. This position will also serve as the technical expert for developing system architecture from these market-driven requirements with other cross-functional team members .

Required: BS in Engineering, 8+ years of R&D systems engineering in a highly-regulated industry with a focus on top down design, risk management (FMEA, FTA), requirement management (with automated traceability tools), and stage gate processes. Strong problem solving skills and background developing requirements in highly technical, cross-functional teams. External communications leadership.

Highly Desired: BS or MS in Systems Engineering, and MEDICAL DEVICE background.
